The Tudor style came about in England in the 16th Century. Although the name “Tudor Style” seems to imply this style was prominent throughout the entire Tudor Dynasty (1485 – 1603), it was actually used in buildings between 1500-1560.
There was a distinct difference in the Tudor style between the wealthy and the common people. While the wealthy built more extravagant Tudor style homes, the Common people had more simple Tudor style homes.
