Dighton is a town with around 7,000 residents in the southeastern part of Massachusetts. It was once a path for Plymouth settlers to travel from Plymouth to Bristol Rhode island along the “Old Bristol Path”. The town is named after Frances Dighton Williams who was the wife of a town elder. The town was originally home to the Dighton Rock, a rock found with mysterious, cryptic carvings that’s origins are still debated. Later the land was deemed part of Berkley thus giving it claim to the rock. Source
